Good Guys Finish Last

Check out this amazing fairy tale written by Royah (in less than twenty minutes!) and inspired by Nelson, Alim, and Alex of English 101, section J24.

Once upon a time, around mid March
There was a man named John,
who was very very soft.
He took long walks and smelled all the flowers,
Bathed in pink soap and loved baby powder.
He wrote long novels and loved soap operas
Cried for romance and enjoyed girly drama.

John had a friend the opposite of him
Who never smiled nor never grinned and was known as Grim.
He scared away cops, had guns with red dots,
His friends were all scared, afraid they would get popped.

One day in March, they went for a stroll
And bumped into a girl, whose name was Nicole.
She had a perfect body, better than Jennifer’s body,
She looked like a pro, in doing her Pilates.
John loved Nicole, the first time they met,
Grim had no interest but he made a bet.
Grim said….that good guys always finish last,
John said that girls loved him and always had a blast.


Dates after dates, movies after movies,
John wanted to marry,
Grim wanted some booty.
John gave her gifts, flowers and bears,
Grim gave up nothing and never wanted to share.

John brought Nicole to his house one day,
And Grim came over to play video games.
John took a shower
for about an hour.
Came out and saw, Nicole on Grim’s tower.
John was quite hurt
As Grim slapped her ass.
The moral of the story . . .
good guys finish last.
